Brief. Nigeria: Flairjet carrier fined
For violation of blocking of commercial flights due to pandemic
Short from the world. The British airline Flairjet was fined by the authorities of Nigeria and reported to the British ones, after an aircraft violated the blockade of commercial flights put in place to protect the pandemic spread of Covid 19. Hadi Sirika, the Nigerian aviation minister, on Twitter, announces that the airplane was under seizure on May 17, because people were found on board as simple passengers despite had the authorization only for humanitarian operations.
Nigeria is among the African countries most affected by the coronavirus, and therefore all operations concerning commercial flights are prohibited, with the exception of humanitarian ones, the repatriation of their citizens and foreigners in their respective States.
