PM of Brandenburg positive to covid: he was present at airport inauguration
Lufthansa CEO will soon undergo the swab
Last October 31st there was finally the inauguration of the new Terminal 1 of German airport of Berlin-Brandenburg after nine years of waiting (read also the article published by AVIONEWS). In the last hours it was discovered that one of the political personalities present at the Teutonic airport tested positive for Covid-19. This is Dietmar Woidke, Prime Minister of Brandenburg who had been invited for the occasion to do the honors for the first passengers. Woidke specified that he was at home after noticing the first symptoms of a cold, ensuring he always kept his distance. The infection will make testing unavoidable for other people who were at the airport, so much so that CEO of the Lufthansa airline, Carsten Spohr, made it known that he will undergo the swab.
The same speech will therefore concern the other CEO who was in Berlin-Brandenburg: it is Johan Lundgren, manager of easyJet (see AVIONEWS). All passengers on the historic first connection were greeted by Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, number one of the company that manages the infrastructure. Among other things, prominent personalities in the field of air transport in Germany took part in the inauguration, such as Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister for Transport and Digital Infrastructure, and Rainer Bretschneider, head of the board who supervises the airport company.
