Greece, new measures for people arriving at the airport
Quick covid test will be considered valid for disembarking
Summer officially began today, Monday June 21st, 2021, and there are not a few nations that are looking with extreme interest to the hottest season of the year to revive the domestic economy. A clear example of this is Greece, whose tourism represents a good portion of the gross domestic product. For this reason, the Athens government has decided to approve a series of new and significant measures. The pressure exerted by the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism has had the desired effect. As wished by the holder of the dicastery, Haris Theoharis, two changes have been granted to the health procedures with regard to entry into this territory. In Greek airports, therefore, “rapid” covid tests will be valid and recognized as an official document; until now, in fact, these tests imposed other restrictive measures, primarily the mandatory quarantine. It was decided to give preference to tampons that cost less to each passenger to give important support to local air transport and facilitate the holidays from an economic point of view. It has in fact been calculated that a trip to these parts would have cost too much for an average family, taking into account the antigen tests and the actual cost of the stay. A further provision is that of the age limit for children and their health checks, taking inspiration from what has been established by the European Union; the verification of the certificates necessary to enter Greece will concern those aged 12 and over and no longer 6, as has been the case up to now.
