AVIONEWS interviews Alfonsi (Ugl): worries for the future of ITA

Francesco Alfonsi Italian secretary UGL Trasporti union in the interview with AVIONEWS says he is worried about the employees of Alitalia and Air Italy, he asks the government for layoffs to cover the entire period of the industrial plan of ITA (until 2025) and not only 12 months. He also criticizes the Government for not having received the unions and sees an agreement with Lufthansa or another airline as possible. Finally, he calls the workers to the joint strike on September 24th.
We are here with the national secretary UGL Francesco Alfonsi who we interview on the events of recent days of the new ITA company.
Alfonsi, after the Summer, can you take stock of the situation also considering the meeting you had with the top management of ITA? What were the decisions you made in summary?
What decision will you make on the statements of Altavilla, President of ITA on the non-implementation of the national contract for ITA personnel?
