Assets frozen at Superjet company

Italian Financial Police seals five aircraft and assets worth 150 million euros

The Financial Security Committee of the Italian Ministry of Economy has ordered the freezing of assets of Pjsc United Aircraft Corporation, traceable to the company Superjet International, based at "Marco Polo" airport in Venice-Tessera. Among the properties that have been sealed are five aircraft. The orders were executed by the Italian Financial Police (GdF). The assets are worth 150 million euros.

This is a decision connected with economic sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia due to the armed invasion in Ukraine and the ensuing war. Superjet International, a joint-venture between Italian defense and aerospace group Leonardo and Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi, has been blacklisted by the European Union.
