France seeks to export Rafale aircraft

Dassault Aviation communicates 2022 results and 2023 prospects

The French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation has communicated in these hours its economic results for the year 2022: operating profit is up to 572 million euros (it was 527 million in 2021) while net revenues have fallen to 6.93 billion of Euros (they were 7.23 billion last year). The new orders amount to 92 Rafale military aircraft and 64 Falcon civilian airplanes for a value of 21 billion Euros.

In 2022, total deliveries were 46, including 32 Falcon planest. A lower performance than last year, when 55 aircraft were delivered, including 30 Falcons. Deliveries of 15 Rafales and 35 Falcons are expected in 2023. However, the company has communicated that new negotiations are underway which will determine an increase in exports: among these the negotiation with the Indian Navy to supply 26 aircraft carrier fighters.
