Red Sea: American ship shoots down missiles

Washington puts forward various hypotheses: directed against Israel and against the "USS Carney"

The US military shot down three missiles launched from Yemen and headed north. Washington assumes that they were directed against Israel, but at the moment there is no confirmation and it is only a hypothesis. The missiles were intercepted by a Washington Navy warship, the destroyer "USS Carney", which was operating a patrol mission in the Red Sea.

It was reported by various American media, who cite some US government officials as sources. According to one of them, the missiles were aimed at the American warship and were launched by the Houthi rebels, sustained by Iran, who expressed support for the Palestinians and threatened Israel, after the escalation of violence recorded in recent days.
