Swiss innovation unites for a sustainable future

Partnership around clean and energy-saving technologies

Two pioneering Swiss entities, the Switzerland  SailGP Team, led on the water by three-time Olympian Sébastien Schneiter, and H55, co- founded by aviation pioneer André Borschberg, are joining forces to explore knowledge exchange and technology collaboration around clean and energy-saving technologies.

The initiative brings together leaders from the worlds of sailing and aviation to address shared challenges and opportunities in performance, sustainability, and innovation. Both organizations are committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with renewable energy and efficiency solutions, with the goal of putting in place a strategic partnership that demonstrates Switzerland’s leadership in advancing clean innovation.

By combining insights from two high-performance arenas —competitive sailing and electric aviation— the collaboration seeks to identify technologies and practices that can accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. The ambition is to inspire industries, governments, and the public with tangible pathways to reduce emissions, save energy, and scale up breakthrough solutions.

This first step marks the beginning of a longer-term journey. Further details on the partnership will be developed and announced in the months ahead, reflecting the shared commitment of both organizations to combine Swiss excellence, sustainability, and technological leadership.
