According to internal sources, as of next April 1st Commander Andrea Gori will assume the role as Director of Flight Operations (Dov), taking over from outgoing Commander Riccardo Privitera. The latter, according to the same sources, is expected to become the deputy to Commander Caneva within the operational structure of the air carrier ITA Airways.

At present there are no official communications from the company regarding the change. Gori's appointment would be part of an internal organizational reshuffle affecting the operational sector.

Within flight crew ranks there have also reportedly been some reservations linked to the change at the head of the Dov, although to date no formal positions have been taken by the union representatives.

The air company has not released any official comments on the matter.
