AFGHANISTAN, Secondo fonti afghane, alcuni bombadieri statunitensi B-52 avrebbero pesantemente bombardato la zona di Tora Bora nella quale si ritiene sia nascosto Osama Bin Laden, in un rifugio sotto le montagne che circondano la località. Gli aerei sono stati anche visti passare sopra Jalalabad, nell'est dell'Afghanistan a circa 30 chilometri a nord di Tora Bora.
