Vanno quasi in pensione i gloriosi, per tanti versi dei quali pochi positivi, caccia da intercettazione F-104, che saranno sostituiti, sulla base aerea di Cervia, da una decina di F-16 statunitensi, presi in affitto dall'aeronautica americana.
