Dieci elicotteri Wessex della Royal Air Force britannica sono stati radiati dal servizio dopo trent'anni di attività nell'Irlanda del Nord. Solo alcuni di tali mezzi continueranno la loro attività a Cipro, come comunicato dal portavoce della RAF, che ha anche detto che contestualmente cesseranno le attività del 72mo squadrone elicotteri, basato sempre nell'Irlanda del Nord.
