Militari turchi hanno preso il controllo dell'aeroporto di Bamerna, nell'Iraq del nord. L'iniziativa militare mirerebbe a garantirsi da una possibile caduta dell'aeroporto in mano a ribelli curdi, in caso di un eventuale attacco americano contro Saddam.
