South African Airlines to purchase a 49% stake of Air Tanzania
Johannesburg, Africa - To expand its presence throughout Africa
Johannesburg-based carrier South African Airlines (SAA) is planning to purchase a 49% stake of Air Tanzania's capital. "Through the acquisition, SAA intends to establish and develop a strong east African hub", a company's statement said. The USD 20m worth operation, the first in a foreign airline for SAA, aims to expand the presence of South African Airlines over African market. (007)
