Il dipartimento dei trasporti americano ha diffuso il suo rapporto annuale sul traffico civile (Air Travel Consumer Report). Nel documento i voli domestici americani arrivati in tempo nel 2003 sono circa l'82%, un buon risultato se comparato con il 72,6% del 2000. Un volo è considerato in orario se arriva entro 15 minuti rispetto al tempo d'arrivo previsto.
