AMERICAN AIRLINES TRAFFIC UP IN 2000
USA, American Airlines reported its systemwide traffic increased 4.1 percent in 2000. The system load factor for the year was 72.4 percent, up 2.9 points from 1999. American boarded more than 86.2 million passengers last year, up 1.8 percent from 1999: international traffic for the year rose 6.8 percent and domestic traffic was up 2.8 percent.
